Pushing Hard
205 days
2.5 lbs down (taken with a grain of salt) and today I walked 4.5 miles. Eating dinner and cooling down before I do another workout, this one in the house with the kettlebell.
A week ago I realized I wasn’t dipping low enough while working the kettlebell and man what a difference it made!
Dinner is beef, spinach, chicken, carrots. And water. Lots of water to replace what I sweated...

2012 Races

Falling off the wagon sucks. Every. Damn. Time.
Katie and I are coming to the realization that the only way this works is if we’re both at the same level of seriousness about the importance of what we’re doing.

Where did I go?
Well the good news is I didn’t fall off the wagon. I’m still pushing hard and seeing slow results. The problem is that I have been on a number of trips (and am about to go on another) that forced me to abandon my blogging while I traveled.

Well I fell off the wagon again. Clearly.
Now we’re going again, with extra financial incentive - spending on a gym membership. Joined the Y, am just getting going again. A 20 minute interval training bike ride was intense this morning, but feel fairly sure I’ll be able to make it a daily thing.

I rowed for nearly 20 minutes this morning, nothing overly strenuous, just getting up a good sweat. My strategy for this is to row while watching an episode of Samurai Jack. I have the entire series on my laptop, and they run around 22 minutes.

On track to eat right today, got my protein, fruit, spinach. Allowed myself a granola bar for breakfast. Going to be trying for a full paleo day.
Today I’ve sucked at eating healthy. I have to row and exercise to make a dent in the bad-ness. Fuck.

Last night I cooked up nearly four pounds of chicken to be the core of my diet for this week. I also bought a pound of sirloin steak, which I’m going to do for dinner later this week. I had some pork for dinner last night with a small piece left over.
I’m feeling really motivated, eager to lose weight and get my ass in shape.
